I looked everywhere and couldn't find a way to set a platform to automatic or paused through script, similar to LuaTrain::manual_mode. If I missed something I'm happy to be wrong, but .paused makes the most sense to me.

Hmmm. This might actually be a hard blocker for us. I had assumed it existed and we're not far enough along for me to have looked. For many other things I am planning a hopefully temporary workaround where we blueprint and then re-place the blueprint, but I'm wondering if this can work with that. Guess we'll find out.
