I started up a new game in Space Age.

When selecting recipes in assemblers, everything was working as expected: I would pick the recipe with a single click.

At some point, picking recipes started to require double click. At first I thought it was just mis-registering my clicks, but I've debugged it a bit and it definitely seems to require a double-click.

Here is what I've tried to fix it:

* Reinstalling the game - No effect
* Look for menu options that relate to it - Didn't see any
* Start a new game - This seems to fix it, but then the issue still persists in my original game.

Maybe my save file is bugged and I need to give up my progress so far? Anyone else experience this?

I'm using a macbook pro. The issue seems to exist with both an external mouse and the built-in trackpad.

I also checked all my auto-saves, and they also seem to have the issue. I guess I just ignored it for too long, thinking it was a random mis-click issue.

That sounds like you managed to research the most treacherous technology from the tech tree, a Quality modules. By having them researched (or more precisely, unlocked other qualities than "normal" quality), gui for selecting recipe has an additional field to select a quality of the recipe to craft. Double click is a bypass saying that you do not care about quality selection, single click cannot confirm recipe directly because you may still want to choose quality of the recipe and only after doing this, confirm the recipe with quality.
