When the inserter inserts the satellite into the rocket it does not show up, and when I place the satellite in the rocket by hand it disappears.
When I try to launch the rocket it says that the rocket can't be launched without cargo.
I am not playing the Space DLC, just playing the base game.

I am playing on 2.0.13.
As I am playing I am going through and redoing my rail blueprints to the new rail system. When I built my base and got to the rocket launch I encountered this problem.

I started this world when the 2.0 update came out. At this point I am stuck. I can not research any more science without the space science. Up to this point I have enjoyed the new features and the challenges of redoing my blueprints.

Do you have an inserter that takes out items from thr rocket silo (in V1.1 for example white science packs). If yes the inserter will take out your satellite from the rocket silo.

You will not get anything back in the rocket silo in V2.0. So you do not need any inserter taking anything out of the rocket silo. The white science packs you will get from the cargo landing pad.

The inserter takes the satellite out of a chest and puts it into the rocket silo.

So do I have to send up a landing pod? I guess I will have to find a video that shows the new rocket mechanics.

The only videos are about Space Age DLC. I can't find anything about playing Factorio v2.0 without the DLC. That is why I came here. I thought I could get some help with this problem.

To start a rocket in Factorio V2.0 gase game you need the following:
1. Rocket silo
2. Rocket silo rocket
3. Cargo landing pad (framed in red in my picture)
4. Payload in rocket (in base game only satellite and raw-fisch are accepted)
