I was told in the unofficial Discord to seek assistance in the forums, so here goes. I've been experiencing a strange bug of sorts since I purchased the Space Age DLC. Prior to that, I never experienced this issue or any bugs whatsoever.

When I start a new game, it runs fine for about half an hour or so, then freezes but the game sound is playing normally. In that state, I can't click or interact with anything. Only my mouse cursor works. When I load from the last save, it runs alright for about five minutes or so, and then the problem recurs. There were a few instances when the screen flickered with movement, then the freeze continues. As such, I'm forced to Ctrl+Alt+Del to close the game. I should note that I play modded Factorio.

I tried reading the log the game generates, individually removing mods to test, and verifying the integrity of the game's files (I'm using Steam). Yet the problem persists. I can't really tell what's wrong from a surface reading of the log, so I'm hoping someone here will be able to assist. Thanks to everybody taking the time to assist a new player.

I think I may have inadvertently resolved this issue by simply uninstalling the game, deleting the Factorio folder in the Roaming folder, then reinstalling it again. For good measure, I used the Mods UI in the game's main page to download instead of from a browser & cut+paste. Had to start a new game, but so far no issues.

I'm seeing the same in freshly installed 2.0.13 space age for linux in multiplayer (no mods, no steam). A while after it freezes I see a linux dialog "factorio is not responding, you may choose to wait a short while for it to continue or force the application to quit entirely". Sounds are still playing including the radar beep. It just froze for the 3rd time after playing for 4.5h

I have been experiencing an identical issue for several months on my steam install on Windows. Across several modpacks the video occasionally freezes while the sound still plays and iirc even responds to my input. On the windows machine I have found that if I alt-tab elsewhere and back to the game, it almost always solves the glitch, often resulting in about half second of flickering where i think it displays some of the frames it missed while glitched? Because of this I assumed it's a gpu/driver glitch and not the game, but now I'm running into it on another steam install, this time on a laptop running Linux Mint. On the Linux device the alt-tab trick does not solve it. I'm away from the windows machine at the moment, but here's the log from the linux machine.
