Recyclers seem to be outputting stacks of items. As far as I'm aware, only Stack Inserters should be able to output stacks.

In the "recycler_stacks" screenshot, you can see that the Recyclers are outputting stacks of Iron Plates. My current research queue has only recently researched stack inserters, and haven't yet researched the belt stack height yet (see current_research_queue).

I can reproduce this by having the output belt be full, so the Recycler cannot output, and then picking up the Iron Plates afterwards to release the outputs as stacks. In the save file attached, you can do this by removing the two long-handed inserters for the pipes.

Thanks for the report, this works as intended. Recyclers and miners can interact with belts directly and output stacked items.

I came to post this as well thinking it was a bug. Perhaps to make it clearer, a similar tooltip to the we have for inserters could be added to recyclers and miners? Thanks!
