TL;DR

Allow the player and inserters to drop items into water, to dispose of them.

Why?

Every game I play, I need to dispose of old, useless items that can't be crafted into something else: pistol, wooden power poles, steam engines and boilers, stone furnaces, etc. I was trying out Vulcanus (using the any-planet-start mod) and found out you can dump useless items into the lava! That's much more convenient than than this "junk chest" that I need to build, and later either find again, or slowly destroy with grenades:

Shooting/blowing up the junk chest is really not that hard
And if you can’t even find it, then it’s not doing you any harm, right?
