[2.0.11] Vulcanus Lagspikes

Hey !

Not really a bug, but some performance problems, seems you put theme here..?

I just went in Vulcanus, after Gleba and Fulgora.
Game was quite smooth, and suddendly there are some drops at 20-30 UPS. Not fully unplayable but if it's that laggy before Aquilo, I'm not sure I can handle endgame...

I was on 2.0.9 (or 8?) when lagspike happened, updated on 2.0.11 since, lagspikes hold.

I don't have the best computer ever, but still I could handle a lategame Nullius without it being unplayable.

On show-time usage I find 75% is on entities.
For entities, I find most of it is
- inserters. Ok fine.
- Turrets : well, I have only 8 lasers on Gleba and some 20ish on my 3 interplanetary ships ; but maybe the collector is a turret ?
- SmokeWithTrigger : I have to admit I don't really understand what this one is doing. I did uncheck every rendering stuff that could slow down FPS or UPS in game settings tho... I supposed it was related to any stuff that do smoke, like chimney and sulfur geyser, but even after removing the first and placing pumpjack on the second, lag is still there.

I relaunched the game before making ticket so I also put previous .log file. Maybe I relaunched twice ; in that case I probably don't have anymore the moment when it started.

Is there something I did more wrong than usual ? Or my computer is worse than expected and I should upgrade ?

Thanks for the report. It seems like you are reaching the limit of your system. Your GPU and CPU are well below minimum requirements for Space Age. There is nothing we can do I'm afraid. You could try disabling some graphics options to reduce the lag a bit.

I also noticed a drop in UPS on vulcanus, I notice there are many entities called smokewithtrigger, that takes long time to update, what was that ? and is that necessary?

GFX department gets overboard with effects sometimes. As far as I know, it is for demolisher movement effects. If it's severely affecting your performance, please post a screenshot with "show-time-usage" and "show-entity-time-usage" debug options enabled, as well as your save file.

It is not affecting performance though. But it takes the longest update time. Even when I'm on another planet and no buildings are in area contains demolisher.
