TL;DR

Add another search bar in the same row as Sort by: or making the search button into a search bar.

Problem ?

While looking for updated 'squeak through' for 2.0 I clicked through all the filters on the left side but could not find the mod, I didn't see a search bar anywhere so I checked reddit and found out it did exist. I reopened the mods menu thinking 'there has to be some ability to search somewhere' finally finding it after some time.

The search bar is consistent in placement with the rest of the game but I have not played in a while so I had forgotten the placement of it.
The placement is however unintuitive and should not be based off of memorisation.
The interaction is also unintuitive, the area that it affects is not even remotely close to or in proximity to what it affects unlike the rest of the game.

Solution?

A search BAR could be added to the same section as 'Sort by: x' above where all the mods are listed.

OR
The button should be highlighted in orange or something as to not blend into the rest of the UI.

OR
The search button is changed into a search bar and sits in the middle of the top bar.

OR
The search button toggled to be active by default in the mods menu, showing the search text box.

OR
If consistency is more important then possibly moving/adding an additional row in its relevant area (In-Game>Crafting, In-Game>Research, unsure about map view, Mods>Manage, Mods>Explore)

Just in case, there is always Ctrl-F, my go-to option when searching something (and me being surprised when it doesn't actually work )
