[2.0] How is the recipe of the "set recipe" condition decided?

I have a question regarding the behaviour of the "set recipe" circuit condition of the assembling machine.
For example if i want to craft iron rods and medium power poles in the assembling machine, i place the signals via a constant combinator and wire the combinator to the machine. My problem is that the assembling machine always trys to craft the medium power poles first. It doesn't seem to matter in which order i put the signals in the constant combinator. Also the recipe isn't chosen based on the amount of requires items (so not the largest signal is chosen).

So my question is: If multiple signals are allowed to set the "set recipe" interaction of the assembling machine, how does the machine choose which item to assemble first?
