What exactly is the bug here?
The fact that you cannot read the "Space Age" behind the trees?
There are, in fact, multiple main menu simulations that are not showing anything from the expansion. This one is not outlier in that regard.

Thanks for the report. For now, I'm going to say this is not a bug. If one of the other developers decides they want to go and edit the simulations to remove these trees at a later date they of course can.
