[2.0.8] performance issue on external monitor

playing on a laptop using manjaro linux and i3wm, when using and external monitor my fps drop significantly.
here my fps are very low compared to my ups, the game is rendered on an external monitor
here my fps are normal, the game is rendered on my laptop monitor
between to two screenshot i only changed the screen on which the game was displayed, i did not close the game nor the save.
the issues is also present on every background save of the main menu.
the issue seem to be factorio specific as other app are displayed without slowdown.
the issue was NOT present prior to 2.0 and space age.
