Devs are we getting a third enemy on nauvis?

Biters and spitters are too lame to play against.
once you have flamethrowers the game is basically a bit boring against these enemies.
And now you can fully focus on making your base big enough until you need lazers for the behemoth biters.
Which is several hours later.

What i am saying is i like factorio over satisfactory because you have the ability to fight against hordes of enemies.
But biters and spitters are too easy to kill. A wall and a flamthrower turret doas the job. Which is very easy to get.

Now for the question. Will there be a new enemy that can counter the flamethrower turrets? Like flying enemies that cant be hit by flamethrowers?

I (and many others) agree with your reasoning, but I think the desired effect can be achieved much more easily by just nerfing flamethrowers. Instead of designing and balancing a whole new enemy.

I agree. Now after the update the game feels way better than before.
So they did indeed do allot with the balancing.
The enemies now feel more chunky.
I always felt they were a bit too soft - easy to kill.
