Factorio headless server: Unable to join via internet
Posted: Sat Mar 16, 2024 8:27 am
Hello people,
I am trying to set up a Factorio headless server on my second PC to play over the internet with friends. After watching some videos and reading some manuals online, I have managed for the server to run and be visible in the server list (it is listed as "Ikaros_server").
Although it is visible, nobody can join. It just returns: "Could not establish network communication with server.".
I have a mikrotik router and Avast firewall. I have allowed the game to use the port 34197 everywhere.
Still nothing.
Does anybody have any idea please? I am running out of ideas. The server was working when I set it up in the past (3 years ago).
Internal IP of the computer running headless server is: 192.168.78.205
My public IP address is: 178.255.168.3
A sincere thank you to everyone, who tries to help
PS: Here are the screenshots of my firewall settings, mikrotik firewall NAT and the headless server console. https://imgur.com/gallery/1gc15Gc
