I am currently trying to download mods and invite my friend over to a world I made (we are both new) and when we both click on "Install" in the Mods window or he tries to join my game through steam we can the following message:
Error
Steam authentication failed. Please make sure you're logged in to Steam in online mode.

I am logged into steam, my privacy settings are not on private, I linked my steam account to my factorio account.
I ran out of solutions, any way I can fix this?

The solution is to link the account in factorio.com and then clear the download cache in steam.
