Hi, I am trying to get a script to run as soon as a machine finishes a craft, I was wondering what actually happens internally when an assembly machine crafts an item. what is the "player" in that case?

There is no event for machines completing a craft. Such an event would happen thousands of times per second or even more in megabases. Player handcrafting, by contrast, is relatively rare.
