Port Forwarding on Fortigate Firewall

I'm trying to setup a server behind a Fortigate firewall. I have the port opened to the proper device and can access game from. within the network but cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. Has anyone ever setup with a Fortigate? is there anything special I need to do that I might be missing?

If nobody helps you out sooner, I've got a couple of spare Fortigates at work I can look at.

I've worked with them some, but not extensively to be able to give you instructions off the top of my head.

That said, too, Fortinet does have a number of kb articles that could help you figure it out.

Thank you. I suspect it has to do with the randomized source port. but as far as I can tell, I've found the setting for that. but apparently not. at this point I spinning my wheels in a rut and out of ideas for new things to try.

Apologies, I had too much happening at work today to play with one and due to my work schedule it'll probably be several more days before I can.

That said, I did watch a YouTube vid on it (here; sounds like they just had an AI reading off a script and there's a bit of extra fluff in there, but the basics are present). It appears you essentially need to first create a Virtual IP (which is nothing more than a fancy way of designating incoming interface IP and port on your firewall to destination IP and port of your Factorio server), but then you also need to use the Virtual IP in a Firewall Policy to activate it.

If you don't have a static IP from your ISP or your ISP uses NAT, though, this will of course cause issues with being able to reliably host to others.
