Station catagorizing

Sorry if I'm being an idiot here, but I wanted to know is there a way to mark some stations so only their order would be taken by other stations marked the say way. Example all of the stations are on the same track but I labeled a few stations with a "X" and these stations will only interact with other "X" stations and maybe a depot to get the train in the first place. Would that be possible? Furthermore would there be a simple way to get "X" marked stations to interact with general or even "Y" marked stations. Just trying to see what all I can do here for my S.E.F.
