I think that would be pretty interesting and fun with a mix of a challenge to be able to tap dark energy to crate dark fusion reactors as stand-alone power generating stations. I am referencing this off of Half-Life 2 as the Combine have dark fusion cores in their citadels and I think it would be cool to have that in this game. It may be too far reaching of a request, however, but I thought I could try and ask anyways.

Current version of Factorio is pretty much content complete, and we have no idea in which direction the expansion the devs are working on will be going.
However, one can mod almost anything in Factorio. A dark fusion reactor is no match, once you have decided what it's all about
