Hello,

The question is: how the tar extractor should work? Should it be placed over tar pit or bitumen sweep?

I've started my Py run (full suite) on version 2.0.1, installed all updates as soon as they were available (fixing my factory - if required). On my map I do not have any "tar pit" (I've used commands to see large map), but I do have bitumen sweep...

When I place tar extractor over bitumen sweep, provide proper fluid - it's not giving any tar..
When I go to "editor" mode and add tar pit - it's extracting tar correctly - but... it's marking my run as "cheating' (editor mode used...)

Is it possible to set up tar extraction in other way? Of course I'm already producing tar using other recipes, but....

My current run is already 90 hours - I do not want to restart...

When you put tar extractor ( or any other machine that works on bitumen seeps for example oil derrick, natural gas one etc) you need to supply it with drilling fluid. Then it should start "working", let it work for some time and it should open pit and start providing requested fluid - Tar with tar extractor.

After that you dont need any more drilling fluid. Higher tier extractors and drilling fluid will prvide higher amount of fluids after it opens pit

It's taking a while but it's working! I've tried that using /editor & /gamespeed. Now I need to do it in 'real' game in a proper way.
