Toggle Fog of War Rendering in Map View

TL;DR
Toggle for rendering the Fog of War in map view.

What ?
Similar to how it's possible to enable/disable rendering of pollution, turret coverage, logistic networks, etc. in the map view, I'd also like to be able to enable/disable the "fog of war" rendering in the map view.
Why ?
I do not cover my base 100% with radar, and I'd like to be able to look at the base in map view without some areas appearing lighter/darker due to the fog-of-war rendering.

The map in the locomotive window renders without the fog of war, and I find it much more visually appealing. I'd like to be able to look at my whole base like this.

That kind of defeats the purpose of radar, doesn’t it?

I believe you can also achieve this with /editor.

The fog of war would still exist (so radar would still be relevant). I'd just like a way to disable rendering the grey overlay on the map view.

The grey symbolizes, that the chunk you’re looking on is eventually completely outdated.

I’m not 100% sure, but I think eventually the grey is just a color (rgbt), and then it can just be changed to fully transparent with a very simple mod. What speaks against this theory is, that it is dimming from fully transparent to grey.

No, compare it with the train map overlay. I agree that the train map is so much better to look at. I don't see why fog of war can not be toggle-able.
