Was doing a new play through and did my normal thing, throw down burner miners in a circle and toss in coal, but I couldn't give them coal at all. I shrugged it off and figured it was just another bug oh well and put down some electric miners. And i needed to remove on so i held right click and nothing. I could pick them up with bots with ALT+D but thats it. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using some mods ?
Do you have a save game ?
Does it happens again if you restart another game ?

Let me guess, you have Cargo Ships 0.1.4 installed? That was a good on my part it's patched now in 0.1.5.
