Game doesn't load when running from steam (SOLVED)

right, so, i just got this issue where the game refuses to boot,it sits there at "running" in steam then, after a while, just shuts down and doesn't spit out a crash log, ive tried to delete the logs then launch the game, but then the logs just weren't there. really don't know what to do
Edit: i have tried running it from a terminal, wich just started it in steam, and then ALSO didn't boot
Edit 2: rebooted steam and it worked, me dumm dumm
