Figured Id post some of the builds I have done in my Modpack designed around YI ....
Early Game Power
2 x Water pumps + 12 x 540/2 boilers + 10 x Q.8 SS Turbine-P = 7.9Mw per line make sure you use the Yi Engines pipes in the gaps to get stable as in photo.
Mid Game Power
3x Water pumps + 5 x 3M6/4 boilers + 5 x 4.5 Steam Turbine Plant-P = 22.5Mw photo is total 90Mw make sure you use the Yi Engines pipes in the gaps to get stable as in photo.
Coal Compression_Expandable
Just a simple layout to compress Coal Stacks that can be expanded as required.
Ore Wash
This Wash is capable of feeding 24x Furnaces. (stone without modules Add Speed Modules for Electric)
Yi Ores Processing
A simple layout to Process the Yi ores and feed out the different required materials at each stage.
The Crush:
The Post Crush & Pellet Process:
Final Products Process:
My Avoid Oil System
This is the system I'm using to Avoid Oil there is so many you can do this is just a way i have done it in a game turing farms into UC and feeding UC into the bus to turn into plastic & Coal for Batt & Red Circuts.
Figured with Steam Coming out might as well share some builds for the new folks trying out YI.
Enjoy,
BruteMan

So. Now i want to show my (so far stable) UC2 and Energy Production.

Aaaaand done!
17 rockets in 10 minutes. I could expand more, but it is getting slow to play.
UPS is under 45 now. Could need more CPU in my PC.

I didn't play for a while and now I started new world with new version of YI.
I found out that overheaters are now powered by fuel, not electricity. It's great change because my powerplant don't need acc and have stable 229MW output
Production (with all internal consumption)
Output
Now I can deconstruct old steam engines
230MW vs 30MW

always remembers me to make a better overheater gfx and replace this placeholder-gfx ^^
with some ground-floor tiles it would look like a real power-plant
the big black boxes limit energy flow ?

Yes, that transformers are just like acc array. But I already stop using them. Now I'm using electric switch and sensor from Smarter Circuit mod. In that way when power plant is overloaded, the control acc starting to discharge, When it discharge on certain level, switch disconnect power plant.
That lights show power plant load. First 2 colluns show Rensuir load, and second 2 show TMFW load.
Right now my factory is in the middle of rebuilding so there is no so much things that need power.

That's why i really like that. I'm grid engineer and have professional bias about electricity

Could you provide a mod list and a BP string for that?

Thought I'd chip this in
Unicomp Storage + Total Display
Keeps a set amount of Unicomp in the network, liquefying it for storage, then displays the total amount of (Solid) Unicomp in storage, and with a Logistics Combinator, adds the total of both types to show the absolute total (mod required)

it's a insane uc amount - if you want a new moon or even a new planet you can build it from this amount of uc

Actually just ended up using it to swap everything from Mudballs and Transmutes to pure Rep burning, I'm not gonna Be Rich and Show this though

It's working but not like normal pump.
Input pump have internal bufor. When tank wagon stops, liquid from that bufor is almost instantly pumped into tank. Unfortunately, we can't see liquid in tank and this can mislead that tank is empty.
Short tank wagon have the same capacity as internal bufor of one input pump. So if you have two of them, liquid only from one will be pumped into tank.
The same is with output pump. They took liquid from tank into internal bufor, and then move through the pipes.
So, for short tank wagons you need one input and one output pump. For long tank wagon you need two input and two output pump.

ok... i'm out of ideas.
How to get the obnisnk boiler to work with vanilla pumps ? I tried now every possible combination.
Normale pipes with 4 pumps for each inlet , does not get full.
A2 pipes with 4 pumps, same.
Connecting the 2 inlets togeter , nope.
The pipes are full directly after the pumps. But before the boiler they are empty, like they lost water on the way. The distance is 10 fields or so, that shold be no problem.
And the outlet barely provides enough for one 14,7Generator-S .
