Great Video, really enjoyed watching it, can't wait for part 2!
Someone else reported the same thing here. It sounds like if you try again it might work for you. I've downloaded it twice now and it's the right size. Seems like there might be a bad copy cached on a download server, since you both saw 13 megabytes.wwdragon wrote:Something is wrong with the d/l.
15.15 experimental size 13.5 megabytes.
15.10 experimental size 608 megabytes.
I think more likely there's a bigger problem since that person and I were many hours appart in d/l'ing it.WhiteFang34 wrote:Someone else reported the same thing here. ahahaha my dear friend, even as a Unity scrub myself I'm deeply touched by your faith in that enginedjnekkid wrote:Unity licence (its in unity, right?)
That's why the developers are so relaxed and can create this awesome game without pressure.djnekkid wrote:So, lets crunch some numbers here...Avezo wrote:I have no perspective to compare so I don't know if 1 million of sold games is a lot or not, but I can do basic math and with 20 dollars/euros per one sold game that makes more or less...
20 milion dollars/euros
Even after cuts for Valve and whomnot... OH MY GOD.
Lets say, for this, that Wube keeps 60% of this, after valve and taxes and such.
And for arguments sake, lets say 1usd is equal 1euro.
Then we are at 12mill euros
According to wikipedia Wube software is about 3 years old, with the founder working on the game about 2 year more.
The same wiki saies there are 5 people working on the game. Im not sure if that is accurate, but lets say its 1,5 that, in average, over 3 years, plus half of that in the 2 beforehand.
That makes (5*1,5*3)+(2,5*2) = 28 man years, but there is probably some overtime etc, so say 30 man years.
GDP per capita in the Czech Republic is roughly 22000$, and lets assume that programmers make about 1,5 times that, add emplyment tax, insurance etc, and that numbers is probably about 50.000$ per year for the company, maybe even more.
We are now at 1.5mill euros/dollars.
There are most likely some other expenses, office rent, ISPs, server rent, purchase of computers, testing gear, Unity licence (its in unity, right?), and lets for arguments sake, say that the expenses are now doubled.
We are still looking at a blonde one from a multi-million euro/dollar/pound profit. All I can say is! The next game from Wube is gonna be even more awesomeer with a chooch factor to 11! #AvE

I was at some place with other people, suddenly a video starts playing on a big tv, showing the text THE WAIT IS OVER. Then a big red button is shown and images of Factorio factories and the new features were flowing together into other images (I can't explain better but it looked really cool in my dream). Then a big rocket ready for launch in the middle of a massive factory was shown (in a nice 3d animation), the engines ignited and the screen faded to black with the final text "0.15". Then the place turned into a Factorio 0.15 launch party and everyone was having fun. I remember thinking should I go home to play 0.15? Nah I just want to party for now.
