A giant +1 on this.
TBH, this isn't even a feature request. This feature already exists in the game, but for some inscrutable reason it's only exposed in some places but not others.
Maybe the title of this suggestion should be "please finish your half-completed updates to circuit networks".

It seems this feature will likely be in 2.1:

YES, separate R/G checkboxes for each input AND output function is the perfect answer IMO. It is very easy to understand, and I can't think of any setup that would not become possible.
Inputs would sometimes need to be either/or, though. For some things, like setting requests or filters, it can just add the signals together and it makes sense. But for other functions, it's probably confusing and/or unworkable to use both inputs. I'm thinking of set recipe, set stack size, enable/disable, train stop priority...probably a lot of situations actually. Hopefully not too difficult of a special case to accommodate. If not, then it wouldn't be a disaster if all inputs have to be either/or.

This should be a standard feature of at least every device that can output more than one multi-signal that can overlap others, silos - contents + requests, production machines - ingredients + contents. Basically anything that handles signals describing products.

I was brought here through searching for topics on "select input" mode of selector combinator. The Index needs to be able to take a signal from a wire if not a constant or at the very least should not be considered part of the input set.
But yes, read from wire and write to wire should be an option for many things that involve combinator/logic.

The dynamic indexing signal is excluded from the search order.

There are currently 2 modes: reading content or setting a request by logic. Please make these 2 modes work together. You need to read content to unload the resources that are inside, but also specify requests so that space platforms dynamically adjust to the needs of the planet

I haven't heard anything about confirmed features of 2.1 yet.

Choose circuit output wire color for machines

When connecting logic wires to machines such as assemblers and rocket silos, you should be able to choose which color wire you want the output to go to.
Example: I want to be able to read both the contents in addition to the orbital request from my rocket silo. Currently, I need a separate rocket silo just to get the orbital request for my combinators to use on my original silo which is set to read its contents. Instead, it would be awesome if each output could be designated a color. This is not only useful for when you want more info out of a single machine, but also when you want to set the recipe of an assembler while also reading info from it, without cluttering the data lines. We already have workarounds for this last case, but not the rocket silo one, as far as I know.

Hello, this is a generic problem in more than this place.
We have an internal proposal to make it configurable almost everywhere from/to which wire you read/write. So you could output to red and read from green for example.
But this is not a trivial change, and because of all the other work we need to do, we are planning to do this for the version 2.1 (Is this the first confirmation of 2.1? probably, but don't expect anything big, it will be mainly just a collection of final touches like this one).

requester chest: cirquit connection

I can inserter simultaneously connect to two cirquits: by one set filters and by another read hand contents.
But for requester chest I can only choose between set requests and read contents.
Feature request: make independent capabilities of set requests and read contents for requester chest.

I would also like to suggest make an option in blue chests (and other storages with requests) to "read the contents, including the contents of robots involved by this chest."
How robots work: Upon receiving a request, the robot reserves the requested items = subtracts robot's capacity from the total number of items in the logistic network (this is the reason for the negative quantities in the logistic network).
When the robot picks up items from the source chest, it returns the reserved value and subtracts the number of items it actually took.
And so, when choosing this option, if there is one blue chest in the logistic network, then the total number of items in the blue chest and in the logistic network should remain constant at all stages of the robots activated by this chest.
The motivation for this option is as follows: I put in a request those items that are more than a certain threshold in the logistic network, set "trash unrequested", and as soon as the drone takes off after the item, the request disappears because the number of items become smaller than the threshold.

Also useful option would be to control enabling "trash unrequested" mode in blue chest by some signal letter (like controlling inserter capacity in inserters)
