Why does everyone say "legos"?!
I always have used "lego" to describe them, as a plural and a noun.

Example 1: "I have a lego brick" (Singular Noun)

Example 2: "My floor is covered with lego" (Plural)

Sorry for being a grammar Nazi :)

EDIT: i did all this hours only vanilla - only mod i use sometimes for testing out layouts is creative mod

You really shouldn't say that kind of stuff on the official forums. :(

As for my playtime I, Steam says I have 262 hours. I've only launched 1 rocket though.

no idea how many hours. i bought it on factorio.com so Wube gets ALL the $$$.
i do testing and let the steam version play to stress test layouts (and log hours for Wube :P )
mostly play the package version of the game.

bought the game when Version 0.12.33 was out.

by far the funnest, most replayable game since Lode Runner, and AutoDuel on my Apple //c.
yes i'm an old gamer

I thought the game was released 4 years ago on Steam.
I found my first post on steam for this game in February of 2018.
I guess it was available elsewhere much earlier. I guess I forgot.

My total hours, including offline is somewhere around 6 to 7 thousand hours. I Think.
I seem to remember having my offline hours on my PC somewhere, but that info vanished.

Silly me. I thought the game was released 4 years ago. And you played it for 10 years? I think not.
On second thought. Was it available from Wube before the steam release? I forgot.
It came out of Steam EA ~4 years ago.
I picked it up from Steam about this time in 2017.
It was in development and available before being put on Steam though. 20...12? I think it was?

Is the time played registered somewhere when you didn't get the game from Steam?
The saves seem to measure time per save, but is the total time somewhere? Do the devs know how long I played?

I have played quite a lot, but the computer I originally installed it to is on the verge of death, so I haven't even touched the game since it went HD, just in case it crashed and burned. 500 hours...maybe?

Hi, all. Im new here. About 4 years I think? At first pretty casually but I've become utterly obsessed in the last couple of years. Finally getting to the point where I've got a solid set of builds and really looking forward to the expansion blowing them all up :)

Three years according to steam. An estimated 3000 hours + 800-1000 hours on Space Age. Left it running so it wouldn't have to reload, so steam gives an estimate of 11K hours. It's weird, it felt like a real long time to get some of these achievements. But I had No Time for Chit Chat within a few weeks. But it took me till 2024 to get around to getting "No Spoon". I was playing mods a lot.

Probably 3000h in early access from Wube's site even before it had a Steam page. On Steam another 970 hours before year 2020.

Then I got a new computer back in 2020. On the new computer Factorio constantly caused the Nvidia drivers for the RTX 2060 to crash back then. That pretty much took the wind out of my sails back then and I went to playing other games like ONI, Rimworld, several Paradox games and whatnot.

Anyway, in Space Age even though I got it last autumn I only have 70 hours and I stopped when I got to Aquilo. The ship with everything prepared to drop down to the surface of Aquilo is still parked in the orbit but I simply could not arse myself to continue that playthrough since then.

I don't know, ever since coming back to Factorio it just doesn't get me as hooked. I saw what Aquilo building with the heatpipes and Promethium farming and Quality grind is like from screens/vids of other people and I felt like "so this is what is waiting for me" and I was "urgh" rather than hyped. It started to feel like work instead of... fun. It is not about being efficient anymore but just about pure quantity... how many blueprints can you stamp down to scale up the throughput. ^^

I tried to restart a couple times since, but... an hour in and I just shut the game down and go do something else because I get the same feeling again. I really have to force myself currently and I feel it is making it somehow worse.

It's part of the grind with quality I think. It's a much different kind of puzzle. It has a high internal energy, it's very easy to burn out on it.

Try a run of just Krastorio 2 on 2.x? I did 40 hours on it as a palette cleanser. With the large scale buildings you can play around with the automalls in a way which is just different. They are porting Angel-Bobs stuff as well. Hopefully we get to sail the Seablock again soon (Gharr matey, all the pretty jems).
