As stated previously in this thread - practically all processors made in the last 10 years are 64-bit. If your new laptop is 32-bit then it's probably an ARM, which is an entirely different architecture, one that Factorio never supported, and would take much more work to port to, not to mention those processors tend to be much weaker.

There's more to it than the processors. Hence we were talking about the legend of Linux, a Zelda to the past
