it force opens steam even if i close steam. How do i launch it through its own launcher?

No, the .zip install is fully self contained.

here is the crash from the manual launcher

Ok so after further testing. on the Standalone version. with no external blueprints. i created a bp of my entire vulcanus base and pasted it about 20 times to force the event. no event occurred. However, i copied my Bp storage file from the steam version and loaded the standalone version and immediately got the event upon loading. which leads me to believe that the issues are within the bp storage file. please correct me if i am wrong

That is crashing while loading the save now though. Does it always crash when you load it?

If loading the same save sometimes crashes and sometimes not, it's a clear indicator of a hardware problem. In this case it is crashing loading a blueprint from the library, so a change in it could skew that. You can try moving the library file and save to your other machine and test if loading it there causes the same issue.

i did test the blueprint file on the other device extensively. 0 crashes.

You just tried the blueprint on the other device, or did you actually copy the library file and save file and loaded the save?

well, i loaded the save through steam 3 days ago which carried over the blueprint file. Is that enough?

Well, if the same files crash on one system but not on the other, then it's a hardware problem. If you find a way to reliably cause a crash on the stable system, let us know.
