Since we can't seem to agree on "Enqueue" vs. "Add to Queue", might I suggest:

"Queue that sucker up!"

I don't like any of the 'que' or 'queue' words. I prefer 'add to List'
And:
I grew up in the US, and lived in England for awhile. Rarely saw this 'enqueue' word anywhere.
And now I am off to make a mod to fix the English(American) language.

Enqueue is a real word. It's used in computer science / software engineering. "I don't know this word, please remove it" is not a good argument. But I wouldn't mind if they changed it to "Add to queue". It's shorter than "Enqueue research" and is clearer for non-tech people.

Sure, but as a software engineer... this entire thread hurts my soul.

Enqueue is 100% the most precise and correct American English word to use here.

I feel like we're right around the corner from people saying we should be using gatorade to water our plants.

The way I see it, "enqueue" is used most often to refer to something a computer does, which is not what is going on here necessarily. As a human I would not use that word to describe my own action to put something in a sequence. Part of this is probably colloquial inertia from using the verb "cue" as in "cue up the next tape" rather than the noun "queue", since Americans talk about "lines" more than "queues". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
