+1 as well, I made an account just to bump this. Spent so long setting up a quick bar (which the game default allows you to set 24 at max) only to find it reset when I went to play a different multiplayer map with friends. Never took a screenshot of the game before

I don't even bother using shortcuts since they just get messed up so much. If there's one I can't remember the control for, I just open the list and click it through that. With basically all of them hidden in the list (the bar is ugly otherwise), I tend to forget they even exist.

I bumped this in 2022 and I'm doing it again because I get weekly questions from mod users looking for a control that we moved to a shortcut.

Shortcuts are an awesome feature with amazing modding potential but become useless unless you keep every modpack in a separate folder.
