Has anyone experienced issues alongside Bio Industries? Are Pymods compatible?

Idk. Are you having issues with bio industries and pymods?

Hello Pyanodon and Nexela,

First of all - many thanks for the great mod-sets! Keep up the excellent work!

I did encounter a small issue whilst playing with PYCoal in combination with Bob'sElectronics:
In the bob-updates.lue, add_ing is called to add 2 glass to the fiberglass-board recepi. Unfortunately that results in the electronic-assembly-machine expecting glass in 2 different ingredient slots.
The inserters only put glass into 1 slot - so the fiberglass-board is never made.

I removed the call to add_ing in my test-world and fiberglass-boards were produced again.

I use PYCoal version 1.0.8.

Please have a look.

Regards,
Eo

Good news, everyone! The issue with some of the recipes missing from FNEI was resolved by the FNEY's author. As a bonus, they also accepted my suggestion to display the temperature of liquids if it's different from default, should help with the 60° steam confusion, etc.

Thanks daydev
Recipes missing from FNEI drove me a bit mad. No nylon in there

There seems to be a graphical issue with the gas vent, the building itself is not placed at the base of the tower but in the middle of it ?

It seems it only happens if the sprite resolution is set to medium or low (and maybe very low as well, didn't try), i've switched back to high sprite resolution and everything is fine.

Sounds like an incorrect offset on < high resolution.

It happens because high is what we do most of our adjusting in!

I have a question about the recipe for 2x wood, is the time to craft, which is 15 seconds a bug because it doesn't seem right, since in vanilla its only 0.5 seconds.
And if it is not a bug, could it be changed since its a great hamper for early game gameplay.

Yes, it's intentional, but there's a machine you are meant to use that's available at the start. It can process it much quicker.

Found small bug with alumina production
There 2 recipes for alumina and all its using crushed bauxite

So here's recipes:
1) 1 crushed + 1 sodium hydroxide = 1 alumina
2) 1 crushed + 1 sodium hydroxide = 2 alumina

One question why traditional recipe for alumina is missing?

Does anybody know how efficient generating energy is through combustion mixture?

I have recently started making coal briquettes and then 1000deg mixture but I can clearly see using the briquette to make mixture means loosing energy.

What is 'fuel value' of the mixture of different temps?

1 kJ per unit of combustion mixture per degree above 15 degrees (five times more energy dense than vanilla steam which is only 0.2 kJ per unit per degree). Plus the gas turbines have idiosyncratic effectivities: 42%, 95% and 147% for levels 1, 2, and 3 respectively.

Wow, so 1 unit of 1000deg combustion mixture is (1000-15)=0,985MJ. This means 1 briquette (180MJ) is converted into 250 units of mixture which is 246MJ. This is very efficient, especially that I can get rid of skin that is used in glycerol, coal gas and tar.
Thanks! I am turning the production again.

EDIT - fixed numbers.

I created a power plant, and it creates steam that is 60 degrees Celsius. This shouldn't be possible as steam that cold would turn into water. I say that you should make the steam at least 100 degrees Celsius.

yeah...it´s a game, we can break rules hehehe. use cooling towers to convert it back to water or heat-exchangers to increase it to 500

Hey Pyanodon- FNEI is showing me a recipe for limestone from a borer via Excavation 2 - which I know used to be there because I've used it in a previous game. But the research doesn't seem to exist anymore- was that intentional? Is it just an issue with FNEI? Is there really not a way to get limestone like this anymore? If so- :/

But also I'll manage - I rather enjoy torturing myself with your mods.
