The Factorio works on Yosemite now, I saw it myself on the mac we bought for testing and building Factorio.

The demo for factorio is still not working for Mac yosimite, so if you could update the demos that would be greatly appreciated by me and my fellow Yosimite users. Plus I cnat download any of the ezperimental versions because I have not yet bought the game, Whitch is why i want the demo to try out the game and make sure it runs smoothly and is as fun as described.

The experimental releases work on yosemite, but not the demo yet. Mac users will have to wait a bit for it, sorry.

I just installed 0.10.12 (alpha) on a 2012 MBA with Yosemite and it always segfaults on startup, before displaying anything.
