For example, importing a blueprint or a book and dropping it into the library immediately adds copy in inventory. Creating a new book and dropping it into personal library also adds an empty book to inventory. Moving blueprints between shared/personal sides of the library does not create inventory items.
This means adding and organizing a series of blueprints requires cleaning inventory up afterwards.
I think blueprint library originally interfaced directly with the inventory, as opposed to the current pseudoitems, and functions that add items to inventory are still active along with ones that add items to cursor; despite three ways for player to do so explicitly (clearing cursor, closing the library, and dropping the pseudoitem into designated export area).

Thanks for the report however you seem to be misunderstanding how the blueprint library works.Barhandar wrote:For example, importing a blueprint or a book and dropping it into the library immediately adds copy in inventory. When you import a blueprint or book you're creating the item on your cursor - it's not in the blueprint library. When you click it into the library it puts a copy into the library but the original item still exists in your cursor and is moved back into your inventory.
That's working as intended.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
Re: [0.15.40] Importing/creating blueprints adds inventory copy
That's understandable, but a bit unintuitive. Is it impossible to have just-imported blueprints be pseudoitems like the ones already in library (which can be put into inventory in all the various ways but otherwise aren't in it)?Rseding91 wrote:Thanks for the report however you seem to be misunderstanding how the blueprint library works.
