First off, congrats for creating such a unique game; it's almost like you've invented a whole new genre! Big props to the team for all the hard work. I'm really into the game's concept but I wanted to suggest a few ideas to address a challenge I and other players have run into. These tweaks could make the experience even more dynamic, diverse and immersive.

I'd love to see more biome-dependent resources that push us to adapt our factories to different environments. Imagine deeper changes with weather effects and seasons, like darker, longer or permanent nights and intense storms that vary by region. Another element I think could take the game to the next level is a rich ecosystem. I’d love to encounter various creatures in different biomes—neutral wildlife or reactive animals that could interact with our factories in unexpected ways. For instance, herbivores could wander around peacefully but sometimes interfere with power lines, while scavenger creatures might come after discarded resources or waste. You could even add new predator types or intelligent alien species with their own agendas. Players could choose to either trade with them for tech insights or clash over territory.

A great reference is Rain World, which, as you might know, has one of the best ecosystems I’ve seen in any game ever. The scavengers in Rain World are especially inspiring and could be an awesome direction for Factorio to explore!
Not sure if appropriate but I'll attach a link to a youtube video explaining more about the ecosystem in rain world:
