[2.1.17] Mod portal Explore/Updates tabs time out after in-game restart (macOS)

Reliably reproducible on macOS 15.7.7 Sequoia.
It's a minor thing, but I can reliably get the "Explore" and "Updates" panel in the Mods view on macOS to fail to load anything. It eventually times out with "Unable to check for updates". Looking at ~/Library/Application Support/factorio/factorio-current.log, I see:
To reproduce:
- Load up Factorio latest experimental (I'm running 2.1.17)
- Assuming you have mods enabled, go ahead and disable them and "Confirm" so that Factorio reloads
- Go to Mods and navigate to the "Explore" or "Updates" page - they just straight-up don't load
To work around this, you have to fully exit Factorio and start it again. Then those tabs load just fine - the issue reappears once you change a setting that performs an automated restart of the game.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help troubleshoot this issue.
