Hi

This is a slighty modded save with quality storage containers and steam turbines.

I am having issues with my steam pipeline throughput on Vulcanos for a rather large power plant. I have had too 4x steam production so there is no power crash and i have a few containers for backup and quick spikes. My 726 (legendary) steam turbines consume 108.900 steam pr. second and i have to produce around 440k for it not to crash when i set my bots to expand my grid. I read somewhere pipes can only transfer 4k units pr second, but i have no issue with my molten metal or Sulfuric acid (1 well with legendary productivity and 2 full speed beacons gives around 1M) so i am confused. More pumps have been tried FYI.
Anyone that can help?

The Pipes themselves are not the throughput limiter since 2.0 made fluid transfer instantaneous - it is the Output Fluid connections from the Cryogenic Plants where the bottleneck seems to lie in most setups. More Speed Modules will make the machine work faster than the Fluid can be drained into tanks. Pumps end up being “slow” at this scale of output, so are best avoided. The solution is to add more Machines (with Efficiency modules if you don’t like having the slots empty) to spread the load out across more Output Fluid connections.

Thanks a lot, that explains why. so far i can see that its the output from the machine not the pipes. From a quick google search i can see that aswell the max output/input from a single port is capped at 6k, though more like 4,2-4,8k screenshot is from the wiki.... But thanks for helping me with limiting my search
