I was playing the new tutorial in 0.17 and for some reason the example lab lights up red instead of blue. I immediately assumed this was due to the colour of the science packs going in, but this is not the case: regular science labs still light up blue.

Is there a mod which changes the colour that labs light up according to the recipe they're working on?

Yes. There's a mod like that.

1. Go to the mod portal.
2. Click 'my mods' in the top right corner. This will bring you a list of mods where this mod is included.

It's not that hard to find...

If the purpose is to let people searching the forums know that DiscoScience now exists, the directions you posted will only work for Daniel. They won't work anyone else.

If the purpose to point out to Daniel that he made Disco Science sixteen days after creating this thread, I'm pretty sure he already knows that. Was he supposed to delete this thread after releasing his mod?

v0.0.4 is obviusly not the first version, just the first version in the changelog.
If you check the github page there's a commit 2019-03-07.

But I misread his first post. My bad. I didn't know the lab is red in the new tutorial and I wasn't reading carefully. So I thought he was trolling because he was asking if one of his installed mods changed the lab to red.
