Have they done any other massive (compared to what I've been able to do) testing servers after this and released them? I remember when this one was released and one of my friends on his new/slow laptop only getting 12 fps/20 ups and dragging me down while either of us were standing in the center of even small (albeit compressed) factories (he would get 25 to 30 ups and 20 to 30 fps while away from base). He got better performance on the 32 bit version and when he tried to load this map it would crash with out of memory, and with the 64 bit version it would take so long he would be kicked and then take about 3 times what it took to that point to finally load in just to get 2 fps or less and that's on the outskirts. When the V .12 came out he jumped all the way to 30 to 40 ups same fps in the middle of a small base to 55 to 60 ups with 50 to 60 fps away from base. Back to the point though, it would be cool to see what the Devs get up to on testing servers, that is if they don't still use this one for continuities sake or something.

Yeah I tried that one. Untill I was out somewhere building some giant mining outpost and when I came back my entire factory died. Turned out my Steam engines were not getting enough coal because I was using too much power so the miners slowed down which caused a chain reaction because the engines got less and less coal...
Long story short: Finally found a use for all that wood that had been taking up storage space in my logistics system
Lesson learned
Back on topic: Omg how do you guys manage to get a train system like that working.. I am still figuring out how to smoothly run several trains on a single track.
Looks very awesome though. Keep it up!
I see several people using those 'roundabouts' that you are using aswell, and others are saying you need to make 'T' junctions. Anyone care to enlighten me on the pro's and cons of these 2 options?
