Joseph's technicolor dreamcoat, or how not to make a main bus

The other night before falling asleep, I was thinking of Factorio (as I often do), and I started dreaming about a bus. It began with resources falling from heaven (or possibly falling down a rabbit hole). Gradually these resources were transformed into more and more advanced and colorful items, expanding the bus into more colors of the rainbow.

Do not try this at home! There is a lot of advice available on how to make a proper bus, with mighty rivers of iron and copper plates, feeding the insatiable factory appetite
(the Factory Must Grow!).
This is a whimsical, totally impractical, almost not quite completely unlike tea, rainbow unicorn bus. <checks watch> Oh no! I'm going to be late!

It would be interesting to attempt to establish an isomorphism between a formal computing model and a factory layout as the two are not so dissimilar.
What you are suggesting is essentially a Universal Turing Machine in factory form.
It is interesting to think of the global Factorio player base as collaborating to crowd source an algorithm to produce an optimal solution to a logistical problem, posed artistically.

almost not quite completely unlike tea,
Only +0.9 points because the wording is not 100% exact, albeit the difference is mostly harmless.

The Spiffing Brit would approve so much (especially if it's Yorkshire Tea you're thinking of).

Damn sorry for not recognizing the reference
.
For my defense, I read the books over 20 years ago, and in French, so the quote didn't strike me as taken from the Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.

I even quoted the
title of one of the books.
But
DON'T PANIC, everyone makes mistakes.
(I can recommend the very good BBC radio show btw).

Let's just hope the Spidertron is not waiting at that very same restaurant.

You're using underneathies, that's cheating. You should use filter splitters when you want to cross a belt if you really want to do it wrong.

Welcome! Ask away! We aren't perfect, but this group is home to a lot of fantastic players who are happy to welcome newcomers and answer your questions if we can.
And here is the bus extended to produce military science packs...

A belt of Rocket Silos would certainly be an interesting addition to your bus!

Along with belts of nuclear reactors, centrifuges, research labs and all the other items that don't make it into science packs

This reminds me of Scarhoof's Megabus series. He never finished it, though.
