This build uses no combinator, it was designed in a base that had already launched a few rocket but is pretty simple in its building. It's more about how you use it in practice. The mall itself is not great is just a lazy all bot box.

It was made to bring me what i forgot when i build outpost, defense, remote factory in railworld.

Pictures first explanations just behind.

The actual mall.

then a random stacker.

then their location on the map is boxed in red, this is just the example i happened to build. Next time i would place them closer to each other.

The Green boxes on both sides are where materials arrive at the mall. It is low throughput on the right side, for Lubricant, Uranium 235 and 238, Solid fuel, Plastic, Stone, Sulfur, Sulfuric Acid , Light and Heavy Oil and higher on the left for iron and copper ore.
Water arrive from pump and pipe of the shore.

The Yellow One is the first step of smelting for the ore.

Orange is the second step of refining where you can use the productivity module, battery, circuit, frame, engine ect.

Red is the last step that makes every item in the vanilla game, it is unfinished because i didn't need some yet.

HERE HOW TO USE

When you are far away and you realise you need 5 more speed modules, 7 inserters and a few rails to finish your outpost and you don't feel like traveling back you can ask a train to fetch while you finish to make your balancer for example.

You need to have some train standing in the stacker waiting for you to give them the order from the GUI.

You first make it come to your location by creating a random temporary station, and order the train to go here using the 0.17 new hotket Shift click on the minimap of the GUI.

When the train arrive next to you, you set the filter in the wagon using the middle mouse button as a default hotkey, and close the other slots.

It should look like but this is an example where i request stuff i don't need for screenshot purposes obviously.

Then you order the train to go to one of the loading bay represented by the red arrows, you can use shift click, or schedule them to go back to the temporary station when full, for this to work you need to close the slots on non used wagon.

Then you need to ask the robots to build in the blue area a requester chest and an inserter in front of the appropriate wagon. You build them close to you, set up the request on the chest, and then copy the 2 piece as a blueprint using the map zoom.

The robots will then fill the chest, which will fill the wagon, and you can ask the train to come to you,

when you are done you can send the train back to the stacker. In case you need it again.

Some thoughts :

the materials that are brought in the "robots island " in my case are already transformed products sometimes like the oil or the plastic, this is just because i already had those products loaded onto train in my regular base , so i just added one more train to bring them there, but i could have made a small refinery or plastic production line, this is by no mean a good setup for blueprinting it's the way i made it happen.

It is unfinished, but if you need a product that you forgot to automate ,you can do it from far away, you just need to build the assembly 2 inserter and 2 chest next to you and copy the blue print using the map view.

To go further :

If you like the idea and are willing to use this method as builder tool for a megabase i would advise to spend more time on the loading bay to have a mechanism that read the train content rather than having to use filter on the wagon itself. Doing so would get rid of the for now necessary 2 travel for the train, 1 to you to receive its filter, then to the mall, then to you again.

You could also plan a unloading bay to have this setup emptying train of unused material or trash like wood, stone coal when building before they go to wait in a stacker.

Here is a blueprint for the whole Robot Island. It is unfinished for the item i didn't used and there is failed contraption on certain furnaces that i didn't corrected since those i didn't touch worked fine enough to make up for it.

Blueprint for the Orange box alone

And while i'm at it there is a blueprint of the stacker but really it's nothing smart.

If you have similar stuff please share them so i can take inspiration :)
