Yet Another Kovarex Enrichment Design

Post by unobtanium »

Hello,

this design does not reinvent the wheel (the inner workings are used in other designs already), but this design comes with an easily expandable "place-and-forget" version for the earlygame and lategame.

The blueprint book contains three versions:
Version A: Earlygame version, which makes sure that only 40 Uranium 235 are put into each centrifuge to speed up the first production of Uranium 235.
Version B: Earlygame version, without the overflow protection like Version A has.
Version C: Lategame version, a simple version once the system has been running for a while.
All versions leave room for beacons on the top and bottom for Speed Modules. All versions come in two blueprints, one from left to right and one from right to left.

Design Overview:

The place and forget blueprint is for everbody who wants to process Uranium Ore into Uranium Fuel Cells via the Kovarex Enrichment process.
The place and forget blueprint can be expanded to the left for more Uranium ore processing and to the right for more Kovarex Enrichment Processing.
Each centrifuge will start processing one after another once they have picked up 40 Uranium 235.

More info you can check out the album on imgur here.
The only downside to this design is, that you have to make sure that the belt for the Uranium 235 output doesnt fill up, otherwise the yellow inserter cant place Uranium 235 on the belt and the remaining will get stuck in the Centrifuge. Picking up and putting the finished Uranium 235 into storage chests easily prevent this from happening. The place and forget blueprints already contain a safety mechanism to prevent this from happening.

You should also make sure that not all the Uranium 238 is processed into Uranium 235, since you need it to craft many other items, espacially Uranium Fuel Cells.

Feel free to leave feedback here. This is my first post, so please be gentle :P

I have updated the blueprint book (and pictures) to fix some issues with the previous designs.

Place and forget blueprints now come for both earlygame (version A) and lategame (version C) as well. Both are turning the U235 directly into fuel cells and stop processing once the chests start to fill up with U235.

Just wondering if it isn't overkill to have beacons there, it feels almost like having beacons around smelters.

I guess having beacons around the Uranium Processing makes sense since you are able to use Productivity Modules. Beacons for the Kovarex Enrichment Process is indeed not required, but would help to get the Uranium production going when first starting out. It then could be removed and/or just more centrifuges added instead.

I am not sure what you mean with beacons around smelters. That also would make sense when you use productivity modules.
