Yeah, I thought you would see a top-line for the solarpanels in the day. If it's there, then you could need more.
And your additional steam enginges run also through the day. So you will get better by expanding solar power.
Also for your 352-35 = 317 MW it should be possible to run without steam enginges.

Atm my panels give <10 kW each at daytime after the accumulators are filled up. I think I could use some more consumers

This picture is a bit older. Currently I have 13k panels and 16k accumulators for 104 MW. But the plots look the same.
