Simple way to balance production.

Sub-ingredients amount calculation:
Max items = 198
Belt speed = 400 / 60 = 6.66.. items/sec
1 Green bottle = 6 sec / 0.75 speed = 8 sec
6.66 items/ sec * 8 sec = 53.33.. ingredients on the belt for 8 sec delay.
Then ingredients are distributed with ratios accordingly.
Combinators are tracking production/consumption. Input belt mixers are controlling total amount of resources, also mix with 1 copper : 4 iron ratio.

I'm fan of single belt production facilities myself. Well done! :D

But I also have to accept that splitting the input from the intermediaries/output massively simplifies everything. If the ratios are right everything just works:

Well you can maximize the speed of production, but the ratios will keep the same. This is the concept of production that doesn't rely on splitters or assembler amount, the memory cell counts and keeps ratios.

What do you do with all the excess wire?

EDITED: Cleared out my belts manually, restarted inputs, the problem sorted itself.

How many labs does it take to keep the flow moving at base research speed?

Depends on research. If the research says 30 seconds time then need 30 labs to consume 1 research pack per second (if research consumes one research pack per cycle, some consume 2 or more).
