Maps on the web ?

Hi,
I see that a lot of people speaking about their huge maps and factories, and showing images or videos, but I wonder if there is a repository on the web with some existing saved map.
I would likely have a "live" look at these "pro" maps, by loading them in my sown game and watch them running.
So :
- is it technically possible to exchange map with another user ?
- is there places on the web with such maps ? or tutorial maps already populated ?
thanks and have a nice day.

HI binbin,
You can exchange the save file, and load it.
To find the location of save files. Type in %appdata% in explorer, and go to Factorio -> saves.
I have not seen anything about a repository but a lot of maps are added as an attachment in these forums or a link to dropbox, where you can download the save file.
For example I uploaded my save file a few months ago. It still works in current version.
You can find mine
here .
Or you can find another file
here This one is pretty awesome. (and I think is used in the gameplay trailer)
Probably a lot of them scattered around the forum. But this is what I could find quickly.
Found two more. Both are used in the Factorio gameplay trailer.
The factory itself
Game of Life

Thanks for these infos. I found the Game Of Life very impressive, as the GIF animation. I'll study that closer !

Here's mine that's nearly 1 rocket/minute and relatively well organized.
save:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fv5hx8q09b1q0mc/12.2.zip?dl=0
mods that you'll need to see everything correctly:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/etvmm7c18qv3s ... 2.zip?dl=0
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gawhz47pgqys0 ... 1.zip?dl=0
I think it will load okay without the other mods I have: RSO, module inserter, blueprint flipper, abandon train.
*note that when blue circuits back up, you have to replace the belt stubs that when missing weave green circuits onto the red circuit side of the belt.

thanks for the sharing. It seems huge.
I put all the same mods as you, but after a few seconds, I have this message that i do not understand... (and the game quits the map)

well forget it, I suppress all other mods, and one of them was probably faulty because now it works !
as a newbie, I am impressed !!! the size of it !!!
i have a stupid question : but how do you manage such a map ? do you use god mode to travel quickly from one point to another ? especially when you have an attack alert at the other side of the map...

In the very rare occasion that I don't defend something correctly I just cheat and load an autosave and start heading to the scene of the attack. You can get anywhere in the base in about 5 minutes. I would recommend using a train and alt-tabbing.
