A Controlled Loop

Inspired by Steejo’s Crazy Looping Factory, I wanted to design a loop structure to feed assemblers without bottleneck or stall. My intent is to avoid the use of logistics robots in the movement of items between assemblers and use robots only for construction/repair and to feed a personal inventory. Some similarities to psyestorm"s design. I documented the details here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/567 ... d_loop.pdf

I appreciate the effort you put into writing this - I'm not sure whether I'd go through the trouble implementing this, but it could be fun to try it out - a savegame to see it live would be a nice thing to have though :)

Here's a Save: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/567 ... ent_37.zip

One note: When I constructed this I made the loop itself, then added the loop assemblers a few at a time as my research progressed. If you build the whole thing at once then turn it on with the output chests empty, it takes about 3 hours to fill up. Keeps up good after that.
