my Suggestions is if the water pump colision box could be a little smaller so i can fit 2 of then close in that way.
I think a mod could do that do... but in game feature can be layout better(than just resize) and for explanation, i plan to place 2 tanks, 2 fluid pumps and then add the water pumps(making intense water flow)

now that you showed... my plan was doing this, but due to automated bad habits... i could not think

How would that change make the game better?

I'm not saying the idea is bad, but the flow wouldn't be more intense than with pumps of this size separated by a 2 tile gap, like so :

I think the distance between the off-shore pumps is, because it is in fact not needed to have so many pumps near together (not looking nice) and for very small lakes it looks awful if too many pumps suck that drips out of the puddle.

And as Koub showed, it would remove a small .

So: Effectively removing game-play, without improvements. So I move it to won’t implement. Sorry.

now that you showed, i never did that organization(i always use 2 pumps like this) but i did write wrong, its a pump before and after the tank...
