I had this idea... how about a "smart" assembly machine that can do items that require 2 steps
for exsample :
step 1: iron plates > gears
step 2: iron plate + gear > belt

you probebly think that this is OP (it kinda is, but so is 1K laser turrets) so it would be very expencive !!!
this would help sooooo much especialy in the later stages of the game were you need to make ALOT of blue recearch vials.

I thought about this too to be honest, but I think that space management is part of the game, that's why you need to build more assemblers

I dont like this idea.
Doing this would make the planning and compacting part of the game, the funniest part less used, it would be something really bad for endgame players.

I think everyone can adjudge that this suggestion is against whole concept of the game.
