Just out of confusion and curiosity more than anything. Would it be possible to get some "stats" for each train/wagon. These all look soo good i would like to replace all my trains with these, the key stats are max speed and cargo capacity.

Building each (or digging into lua files) is not as fun, especially early in the game when using the mod. My first play-through i was running Paula's for my long haul ore delivery because they looked cool :facepalm: (i was running 2:4 to boot), through experimentation, i since realised a sinlge Paula could haul 15 vanilla cargo wagons to full speed (~80kph) in a short time, really, really good for short hops...

Also, would it be possible to get a slightly larger loading box for the 4x wagons, they are difficult when trying to set-up a station. (im running 3 evil sunz, a tender (to line it all up) and 8 ore themed wagons per train. (the lower cargo capacity means more trains, yay

)

Thanks for all the hard work, and these are a low priority, just a thought for the future.

In some description you get a hint

for cargo-wagons 2A (short) - 2TW/I30 - 2.000 Weight, Inventory 30 - some say 20 Slots directly

for locomotive W2/BF14/130/NM@20T or W1.8/BF14/103/49@20T
-> Weight 1.800, Breaking Force 14, maxSpeed 103, maxSpeed with 20.000 Weight 49 km/h (NM - Not Mesured)

additional informations in this old documentation (S-Short, L-Long=Vanilla)

i need also to check all select- and hit-boxes, because some locomotives stop not in the right spot to activate vanilla-rail-tank system.

some of the SW(Switcher) Locomotives run in both directions very good. if you want drive manual.

What is not listed, and is rather important, is that cargo wagons have a "speed limit" most of the time this is set to 1.2 (vanilla loco speed), so some end up slowing down the evil sun

I'm having a bug with this mod 0.5.18 with the latest version and 0.15.10.

On save load, Factorio crashes due to trying to load a sprite the size of my monitor (1440 x 900) and running out of VRAM. This only happens when the mod is installed, and removing yi_railway fixes this problem.

if i count correct, you use 123 mods ... it feels like any additional mod can cause your problem.

The difference between 0.5.17 and 0.5.18 is 1 additional locomotive with ~ 5 MB more space. Even if i would reduce this locomotive to low-res, its not sure it will work for you.
I see no solution, maybe a bug-report to devs will help to optimize the code for VRAM or gfx in general.

Hi Yuoki,

I noticed that the latest version 0.16.7 today crashed the yi_railway_0.6.20 mod.
They "Removed the mechanics of 3 different fluid tanks in fluid wagon, and simplified it so the fluid wagon has just 1 fluid."

I changed the 'total_capacity' in prototypes/_wagon_tank4a.lua to 'capacity' and then it works again.

I, personally couldn't find the Total_Capacity ref in _wagon_cargo2a.lua (probably because it's the data file for the CARGO wagons).....I did find it in _Wagon_tank4a.lua
Are you sure you listed the right file Miturion ?

Hello! I have encountered a couple of bugs while using this mod.

It should be noted that I am playing a heavily modded game!! But the mods don't seem to be the cause. This issue did not appear until the latest set of experimental updates (currently on 16.50).

First issue is that the smoke effects are appearing in the center of the trains instead of near the front. The second issue is that pumps do not recognize when your trains are present. Therefore the pumps do not extend to the fluid wagons. I tried testing this with different configurations and I also tried horizontal/vertical but it would only work with vanilla trains. Also your tanker cars work with vanilla so it seems to be an issue with the trains.

I love your mods and art work and hope that you will be able to help me resolve this issue!

The smoke can't be good adjusted because the vanilla-locomotive smoke is centered. if i set a offset the smoke will appear in horizontal or vertical correct, but the other orientation complet offset.
I have tested with vanilla pumps and the newer locomotives. I think factorio 0.17 will change a lot, so then i revisit all the stuff and make it compatible again.
Which modded pumps do you use ?

Would it eventually be possible to make a simple separate small set of a (diesel-)locomotive and a wagon, which both have the same length of only 5 tiles?
The reason I ask for this is because you can align trainstops perfectly with 5 tiles, which may be good for mods like the "automatic coupler", but for other situations too (for example (un-)loading one wagon after another with a progressing train)

I took a look at your ultrashort train (which is part of another big modpack).
The animation looks good, but to make (de-)coupling possible with one of the two currently available mods there could be a little more space between the vehicles, but I have no idea how difficult this would be.

Okay, I made a blueprint with a very simple test. I hope the blueprint works with your train.

There's another mod available I used for version 0.16, which is similar and could be updated to version 0.17 (by editing info.json)

The constant combinator at the left trainstop is used for decoupling, you can change the value to decouple more or less waggons.
The other trainstops are for (re-)coupling and only activ, if the siding is occupied (red signal).
