Take a close look at boiler-W-idle.png, hr-boiler-W-idle.png, heatex-W-idle.png and hr-heatex-W-idle.png, specifically at the pipe that runs along the right hand side of the chimney. (unrelated note, why does the heat exchanger even have a chimney?)
Now compare that to the same pipe in every other angle, most easilly seen in the East version, because of the pipe location in it, but it can be seen from every angle.
In the W version, it's an iron pipe
in the N, E and S versions, it's a copper pipe.
Okay, this is a trivial issue, agreed, but still an inconsistency.
Top row: N, S, E: Copper
Bottom row: W: Iron

Because it's not bad enough to prioritize making new graphics for heat exchanger over making new graphics for normal-res entities or other art work.
