[0.16.51] Desync into crash during report creation

So this is an interesting case. My buddy and I have a game with 144 hours in it. Its hosted on a 3rd computer using a linux headless server. We can both connect, no problems, from our desktops. However, nobody else, including ourselves on our laptops, are able to connect without desyncing immediately. These players get through saving, downloading and catching up, but immediately desync when the game resumes. They are able to fully connect when the server is paused but when it resumes, they immediately desync as well. We thought this might be because of mods so we removed all mods and refactored the save to be just vanilla. Still doesn't work on any other computers but our own desktops. Further complicating the issue, after the desync, the game of the desynced player crashes about 2/3rds of the way through saving the game from the server. This is consistent across anyone who desyncs from the game. We will provide a link to the save with mods and without mods, a mods folder containing the exact mods we were using, as well as 2 log files, one with mods and one without, but we cannot provide a desync report because of the crashing.

Basically, we are able to connect from 2 very specific computers. Anyone else, including us on the same account logged into a different computer cannot connect without desyncing immediately after downloading the map and catching up. Removing mods did not help fix the problem.

I do not know what version of Factorio was used to create this save but we are able to access it from the 2 computers that work using version 0.16.51.

Please let me know if you need any additional files, as this seems like a very niche and specific case.

Thanks for the report. The log files are showing that the game crashed in the item saving logic on what should be an impossible item trying to be saved. There's a very good chance that this is fixed in the latest version of 0.17.

If you're able to reproduce this issue in the latest version of 0.17 can you please provide a new set of mods and save file.
